On my '87 Savage I got 107 miles out of the regular tank and exactly 16 out of the reserve. We haven't checked the milage on the wife's '96 yet, haven't been able to find the spare gas bottles yet.
One hint. I bought a couple of 1 liter bottles made to contain fuel for camping stoves - they work great for spare gas. Came in handy several times when it was further to the next gas station than my tank could handle. I used to ride through Nevada a lot and there are long stretches between towns down there.
